Edgardo Larregui, Painter, Bayamón P.R.
Painter, photographer, draftsman and urban artist. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts from the Plastic Arts School of Puerto Rico in 2003. Since 1998 he has developed a youth community art project in several disadvantaged neighborhoods around Puerto Rico, called Coco de Oro. He created the mural “Expropriated” of 240 feet long that runs along Avenida Baldorioty de Castro on the outskirts of the Museum of Art of Puerto Rico, on the occasion of the 1st Urban Art Biennial “GRAPOPHOLI 2008”. He was winner of the Third Prize of the Oriental Bank Young Art Contest of Puerto Rico in 2009. He has exhibited individually in galleries in Puerto Rico and has participated in several group exhibitions in the United States, Puerto Rico, Spain and England.
